VARSAKALLIO - MYSTERIOUS TRACKS IN EVIJÄRVI

Varsakallio rock formations in Heinämaa, Evijärvi (geological name concretion) are called "mammoth traces" and are absolutely worth seeing.

There also is something special across the road — quartz veins. 

Current bedrock has been kilometers deep, under heat and pressure. Cracks have been filled by the molten rock which later crystallized. 

Quartz is very hard and if the stone around is weak, quartz often leaves "bumps" as a result of weathering.
